Donald G. Persico, Chairman of the Board

Director since 1992, Donald Persico has been President of Persico Oil Co, a home heating company serving southern Albany and northern Greene counties, since 1979. Mr. Persico is also the owner of Persico True Value Hardware in Ravena, a company founded in 1982. As lifelong residents of the Town of Coeymans with his wife Susan they have three children. Three of his five grandchildren represent the youngest generation of stockholders for National Bank of Coxsackie at ages 2, 3, & 5.

John A. Balli, President & CEO

John A. Balli, CPA serves as Chief Executive Officer at The National Bank of Coxsackie since October 18, 2021. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer at National Union Bank of Kinderhook (“NUB”) and Kinderhook Bank Corp. (“KBC”) ($650 million in assets) until the company was sold in 2019. He started his career in accounting with Coopers & Lybrand and was a partner with Pattison Koskey & Rath where he specialized in auditing community financial institutions. He joined Kinderhook Bank as CFO in 2003 and was named CEO in 2013. Balli also served as Executive Vice President at Del Norte Credit Union ($950 million in assets) in Santa Fe, NM from 2020-2021.

Renee S. Barratiere

Renee Barratiere began her career in the financial services industry with Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. in 1984. She served as an Investment Specialist and in other various trading and operational supervisory roles. The last 23 years she has shared responsibility for portfolio oversight and client relationship management for Fenimore Asset Management’s Private Client Services Group. She is also a firm Principal. Renee currently serves as trustee for Columbia Memorial Health Foundation. She has been a resident of Middleburgh, NY for the last 31 years.

Aaron P. Flach

Aaron Flach has been actively investing in real estate in upstate NY for over 25 years. He has built commercial and residential investment properties from the ground up and restored many historic buildings thru adaptive reuse. Aaron co-owns a property management group and brokerage in addition to other small businesses. As a graduate of Pepperdine University, he brings a unique set of skills to the board of NBC. His perspective on commercial lending and real estate are an important part of community banking.

Anthony M. Scalzo

Anthony Scalzo, CPA. Certified Public Accountant licensed in New York State. Member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Bachelor of Business Administration from Siena College. Forty-six years of tax, financial and business consulting experience.

Robert Schneider

Dr. Schneider is a lifelong resident of Greene country, NY. He is a graduate of Cairo Durham high school, the college of Saint Rose, Georgetown University and Albany Medical College. Dr. Schneider formerly owned and operated multiple practices and urgent care offices in Greene County during the past 20 + years. Recently, he joined Columbia Memorial health as a physician, medical director and member of the medical executive committee. Dr. Schneider has been an integral part of our banking community for many years and his varied experiences In medicine, real estate and entrepreneurial experiences have been and continue to be an invaluable contribution to the National Bank of Coxsackie.

James W. Warren

James W. Warren is a lawyer, admitted to the bar in January 1979. He has served as a Director of NBC since February 2nd, 1896. Mr. Warren became President of NBC in March, 1996. He retired in October 2021, to be succeeded by John Balli as CEO. Mr. Warren has since reopened his law office at 44 Reed Street in Coxsackie, and practices part time.

Joseph Warren

Joseph H. Warren joined the NBC Board in 1992. He is a member of several bank committees and is currently the Chair of the ALCO committee. Mr. Warren, an alumnus of RPI (MBA) and Albany Law School, is an attorney, Coxsackie Town Justice, and President of State Telephone Company. Mr. Warren resides in Coxsackie.
